BKT the official tyre of Monster Jam
Monster Jam, the US-based Monster Truck event tour, has signed BKT Tires on as its official and exclusive tyre sponsor. Through to 2018, BKT will have an on-site presence at Monster Jam events held in over 100 cities in North America, and will also go international with Monster Jam in the near future. As part of the deal, the off-road tyre specialist has designed and developed a purpose-made tyre, the BKT Monster Jam Tire, for fitment on the Monster Jam truck fleet.
“This agreement definitely represents a strategic choice for our company,” stated BKT chairman and managing director Arvind Poddar. “It is the first time we have been involved in sponsoring a show of such a large scale. We have taken on the challenge of designing purpose-built Monster Jam tyres for the fleet of Monster Jam trucks that are thrilling millions of people around the world. We are well aware of the fact that this will result in fresh and clear visibility.”

BKT says the choice of a ‘consumer friendly’ medium such as Monster Jam to reinforce its brand is a ‘large step’ for the tyre maker, and believes it ‘perfectly fits’ into the strategic route BKT has been following for several years in the fields of communication, marketing and promotion. “Monster Jam has a great public appeal around the world”, said Carl Casalbore, president of BKT Tires USA. “Being the official and exclusive tyre manufacturer of Monster Jam will have a strong media and brand positioning effect for BKT.
