Birds joins the Bandvulc flock

Birds Transport and Logistics, including its recently acquired depot in Heywood, has signed a new tyre supply and management agreement with BTC, the management arm of the Bandvulc Group of companies.  Birds, themselves part of Ballyvesey Holdings, are a full load and groupage company with extensive operations in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Under the agreement, BTC is managing a fleet of over 300 pieces of equipment using Hankook and Bandvulc products. Robin Davies, managing director of Birds Logistics, commented: “The Bandvulc offer was competitive and provided us a high level of service. They have, since the inception, met all of our performance deadlines and worked in a very professional manner providing communication tools such as service level agreements, PSI labels, driver communication aids and alike. It’s this effort to satisfy and deliver performance which provided us with the confidence to adopt Bandvulc as our supplier.”

Phil West, commercial director for Bandvulc added: “Birds’ requirements were specialist, especially with the fleet operating in mainland Europe and we had to prepare for this scenario.  Our coverage is extensive and we’re delighted to have Birds join our prestigious portfolio.”
