Singapore has taken a hard line against Covid-19 and continues to enforce international travel restrictions. In order to ensure it can welcome visitors to Tyrexpo Asia 2022, organiser Tarsus Group has decided to hold the event in Bangkok instead. Thailand will allow quarantine-free entry for fully vaccinated travellers from low-risk countries from the beginning of November 2021 with no need to quarantine.
Tarsus Group, organisers of the forthcoming Tyrexpo Asia 2021 Show have affirmed that the event is ‘still’ on track to take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore between the 17 and 19 November this year.
The BITEC exhibition venue in Bangkok will host a Tyrexpo Asia event in Thailand from 2022. According to the event organisers, Tarsus Group, the idea is to keep running the existing Tyrexpo Asia Singapore exhibition during odd years and introduce the Bangkok edition during even years. As a result, there will be a Tyrexpo Asia event running annually. The inaugural Bangkok edition will be run 27-29 April 2022 roughly five months after Tyrexpo Asia Singapore, which is scheduled for 17-19 November 2021.
Tyrexpo Asia 2021 is due to open in almost seven months’ time in March 2021. The show’s organiser Tarsus says businesses are “looking for a platform for recovery,” and so far the Singapore event for the international tyre market has attracted more than a hundred exhibitors. Exhibitors will include Stamford Tyres International (Singapore); Deestone Corporation (Thailand); Goodtire Rubber Industrial (Taiwan); GB Tyres (UK); Sun Rubber Industry (Malaysia); Service Industries (Pakistan); and Middle East Tyre Center (UAE).
With roughly eight months to go before Tyrexpo Asia 2021, over 100 exhibitors from around the world have committed to the exhibition. Now, the show’s organisers are introducing a hosted buyer programme in order to encourage the right kind of footfall.
While many other trade shows have been cancelling and postponing events, TyreXpo Asia 2021 will be held from 17-19 March 2021 in the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The 13th edition is set to feature over 200 exhibitors from the tyre industry, with a focus to attract the world’s top distributors, fleet managers, and wholesalers to Singapore.
Tarsus Group has acquired the TyreXpo series of events from Singapore-based organiser, SingEx. According to the company, the acquisition adds “a complementary brand to the automotive events in the Tarsus portfolio and gives the group access to an adjacent market”. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
