Go-Ahead London, the capital’s largest bus operator, have seen numerous improvements to workshop safety and vehicle repairs since using a portable induction heater at their New Cross accident and repair centre. Supplied by Automotive Equipment Solutions (AES), the UK distributor for Josam commercial vehicle workshop products, the JH1000 heat inductor is ideal for lighter straightening and loosening of heavy vehicle parts but without needing a naked flame – a conventional method which can present safety issues and damage wiring or other connected parts.
Pro-Align is offering two new systems that have been added to an expanded range of equipment to workshops, bodyshops and tyre retailers looking to cut their operating costs and reduce vehicle repair times.
GSF Car Parts say this winter has seen record sales on their workshop heater programme from Z M Heaters, with sales rising by over 40 per cent. The success has been attributed to two key causes; first has been the growing support of The Parts Alliance. Since September, the trading group has moved to adopt the Garage Essentials programme created by GSF across the trading group. This has seen 90 more branches of CES, GMF, Allparts, Car Parts & Accessories, SC Motor Factors, SAS Autoparts, Waterloo and BMF gain access to the heater programme.
This winter, any garage, warehouse or workshop will need fast, efficient heating. The XR80 is part of Clarke’s paraffin or diesel heater range, providing up to an impressive 61.5kW, enough to warm a space of up to 1174mᶟ. You can guarantee these will keep you warm for a long time with fuel tanks as big as 53 litres for up to 13.5 hours of run time. There are no safety worries about leaving these to warm up either as the 230V power supply is fitted inside a stainless steel combustion chamber with automatic flame failure cut out and a variable heat control thermostat to keep rooms at the perfect temperature. Wheels and handles are included on all models (except the XR60) for easy movement.
