ContiTrack wins PS track day slick test

Date: 15th June 2021 Author: Stephen Goodchild Comments: 0

Continental has notched up another tyre test win, this time on two wheels. The latest issue (07/2021) of German sports motorcycle magazine PS compares four brands of racetrack slicks suited to ambitious hobby racers. Thanks to its first-place ranking in five out of the eight test disciplines and a total of 183 points from a possible 230, the PS testers declared the Continental Track test winner.

Testing took place at the demanding Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain and PS rated the handling, precision, stability, grip, behaviour at the limit, righting moment when braking, feedback and lap times on a Honda Fireblade SP. The testers concluded that the ContiTrack offered the “best handling and highest precision,” describing the tyre a “great rubber for hobby racers.”

Continental calls its non-street legal Track the “right choice for amateur pilots during track days.” Different compound ratios ensure an optimal flexibility, from standard super sport to modified superbikes.
