Fulfilling new contracts to supply automotive exhausts, CATs and DPFs is just one of the recent developments driving investment.

While skilled people are needed right now, there are also training opportunities available for young people. The Klarius group of companies manufacture and distribute a wide range of products from production machinery (KMT) to garage tools and aerosols (Emissco). The group has a strong track record for training within the industry, recently formalising its garage technician courses with full Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) accreditation.

Wayne Johnson, manufacturing manager at Klarius, said: “It’s great to be in a position where we are offering motivated people good jobs. There are a range of opportunities coming up, from highly skilled welders and machine operators to positions for people wanting to start a career. Combined with our manufacturing apprenticeship scheme it means we are part of a local and national success story.”
