Obo Tyres adding rubber track retreading
At its beach-themed Reifen 2016 stand, Dutch retreader Obo Tyres shared details of a new area it has branched out into. The company has begun retreading drive rollers and rubber agricultural tracks, and displayed a number of these products at the show. The tyre retreader considers the addition of these products to its retreading portfolio a logical step for the company.
“Our plant has been expanded with the introduction of machinery we engineered ourselves, and the conditions are perfect for application,” shares Frederick Zandman, manager of operations at Obo Tyres. “We already retread the running wheels and repair the tracks, and by this summer the complete retreading of rubber tracks will be added to our operation.”
In addition to retreading, last year Obo Tyres began distributing the broad range of Techking earthmover tyres, and 2016 it has added rims, valves o-rings, tubes and used tyres to its assortment. These products can now be found in the company’s latest pricelist, which is available from the obotyres.com website.
Operational manager Frederick Zandman, incidentally, additionally became Obo Tyres’ general manger in late April 2016, and now leads the organisation on a daily basis.
