Kenda increases US sport sponsorship

Kenda has extended its US sport sponsorship with the addition of the Ohio State University’s Buckeyes v Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball game to its roster, which includes an association with Taiwan-descended Jeremy Lin’s Houston Rockets. The university and its basketball team are based in Columbus, Ohio, the city in which Kenda’s North American operation is headquartered.

Kenda stunt rider Mike Steidley will perform stunts, including a drop from over 10 feet at half time. Steidley is an eleven-time National Trials champion, running on Kenda rubber. He says: “I’m super excited to perform at OSU and right in Kenda’s backyard. The crowds always love the show and I’m ready to throw down all of my best tricks.  This is the largest and loudest crowd I perform for throughout the year – they always bring it and I wouldn’t miss this opportunity!”

“Columbus is not only the home to the University, but also to Kenda Tires and we are proud to be supporters of Ohio State Athletics. We are excited to bring Mike back to the Schottenstein Center for another year. He never fails to entertain a crowd,” said Liza Hegemier, marketing associate.
