Pirelli announces new Diablo Super Biker app features

Date: 3rd September 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Pirelli has upgraded its Apple and Android Diablo Super Biker app, allowing routes travelled to be downloaded and viewed directly on computers and tablets. This, the company says, will make it easy to compare them and facilitate sharing on social networks. The upgrade represents a continuation of the company’s digital and social media strategy. The app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times, averaging 328 downloads per day in the last two months, the company says. The Pirelli Moto Facebook page, launched at the beginning of 2012, has grown to more than 140,000 fans. The Italian manufacturer believes increased social networking leads to greater proactive interaction from customers and end-users on a daily basis.

Users who already have the application will be able to check for the upgrade directly from their mobile device. The first time they use the app after installing the upgrade they will be asked to enter data in order to access the Diablo Super Biker website where they will be able to view their routes on a monitor larger than the one on their mobile device.

Launched by Pirelli in August 2011, Diablo Super Biker is used to measure performance in real time, both on the track and the street. It is available at both the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android in seven languages (English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish), and is compatible with any iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone (iPhone 4 for lean angle measurement) with at least iOS version 4.2 and with Android OS based devices.
