Bandvulc Discusses Strategies for the Future at Key Dealer Conference

Date: 7th January 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Before Christmas Bandvulc Tyre Contracts (BTC) the tyre management division of the Bandvulc Group recently hosted a conference for its group of Key Independent dealers working in partnership with BTC. According to the company, the focus of the event was to outline its performance during 2010 and advise of its plans and objectives for next year.

BTC reports that its turnover is already in excess of £30 million and has expansive plans for the year ahead. Opening the conference, Patrick O’Connell, group managing director, welcomed all to the event and outlined corporate plans and concerns with tyre and commodity prices along with stressing the importance of service delivery and maintaining quality in every aspect.

Philip West, group commercial director, who delivered the main presentation, focused on services and the need to ensure consistent delivery of standards to the Group’s leading client base. “It has been a decade of rapid expansion for our independent network as it has grown expediently with the closure and restructure of the national equities. During this expansion and growth it has been important to maintain levels of service and see continuous improvement. The technologies, systems and processes which we have delivered to the network can only assist in their ever growing administration and control and we have an expectation that standards and responses will improve. The business associated with BTC now has an established partner to work with; one who settles accounts regularly, transacts swiftly and demonstrates a will to move everybody forward by growth and delivery of our business. 2011 is certainly going to be an interesting year.”

The event attended by more than 40 guests. Patrick O’Connell added “It [was] pleasing to see so many of our partners together – those established and those recently added to the scheme all attended the event.  Our message is relatively simple, by working together we can move the industry forward and with the Bandvulc Group now having its own service network, Tyre Maintenance, we have the same issues but at the same time are prepared to develop this part of the Group to be the industry leader.”
