Vaculug promotes VMS Mobile at CV Show

With the UK commercial vehicle and fleet business congregating in Birmingham for the Commercial Vehicle Show at the start of May, Vaculug took the opportunity to demonstrate the latest addition to its bespoke fleet tyre management system called VMS – VMS Mobile. For the company, which is now the only non-new-tyre manufacture-owned retreader in the UK, fleet growth and retreading business growth go hand in hand. And that’s why having the right fleet tyre management system in place has become more important than ever.

Shanks ‘reduces vehicle downtime’ with Vacu-Lug tyre service management

Shanks Waste Management has selected Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres to manage its commercial vehicle tyres for a number of recycling centres throughout the UK. Using Vacu-Lug’s bespoke web-based VMS software programme, each Shanks vehicle is individually managed to provide a full monitoring, repair and tyre husbandry service. This includes Shanks’ entire fleet of delivery and collection vehicles, including roll-on-roll-off hook-lifts with drawbar trailers and a mixture of plant and OTR wheeled equipment.

Vacu-Lug has upgraded its VMS management system, adding a self-authorisation function to allow customers to validate and authorise work carried out on their vehicles from their own computer. Customers using the added function are also able to accept or reject their own pending authorisations and query transactions if necessary. Vacu-Lug states that VMS provides complete transparency and takes away the hassle of having to deal with suppliers directly.
