JK Tyre anticipates more Mexico-USA exports

As the Mexico-based arm of JK Tyre & Industries, JK Tornel has emerged as a strategic lever in the Indian tyre maker’s international growth plans. In spite of tariff-related headwinds, the operation is increasingly focusing upon exports to the USA from its passenger and commercial vehicle tyres plants in Hidalgo and Tultitlan. Around 7-8% of JK Tornel’s shipments currently go to North America.

US lawmakers criticise Goodyear over Mexico factory

A number of US lawmakers have criticized Goodyear Tire & Rubber over its treatment of workers at its San Luis Potosi, Mexico tyre factory in a letter to CEO Richard Kramer. Democratic Representatives Rosa DeLauro, Terri Sewell and Jimmy Gomez signed the letter and complained that their access to the site was limited.
