Milan Šindelář named Mitas International’s sales director

Mitas a.s. reports that Milan Šindelář took over from Jaroslav Musil as sales director of Mitas International last month following Musil’s decision to retire after a 17-year tenure with Mitas. Šindelář joined the tyre maker in 2011 as an original equipment key account manager for Mitas Tires North America, and in his new role is responsible for business growth in all markets outside of Western Europe and North America.

Sandeck to lead Mitas sales team in Germany

Olaf Sandeck has joined Mitas’ German subsidiary and will soon take over as manager of the national sales and marketing operation. He began his tenure with the tyre maker in December 2014 and, as of March 2015, will succeed Gerhard Schulterobben, who currently leads Mitas’ German sales unit. Schulterobben will retire after 11 years with the company.

‘Mitas Premium’ announced at EIMA – Continental name to be phased out on OE agri tyres

At its press conference at the EIMA agricultural show yesterday, Mitas a.s. announced that as of January 2015, it will replace the Continental brand name on its original equipment agricultural tyre products with Mitas branded products. The Mitas tyres it supplies will bear the ‘Mitas Premium’ name; this name is being given to a new product line of agricultural radial tyres for powerful machinery, and includes the HC 1000 and HC 2000 Very High Flexion (VF) tyres and Super Flexion Tyres (SFT). The VF tyres launched in September 2014 represent Mitas’ latest innovation.

Mitas to outline the Continental agri brand’s future

As reported on 29 October, Mitas a.s. intends to use its press conference at the EIMA agricultural exhibition as a platform for sharing plans in key areas. The Czech Republic-based tyre maker also says it will unveil its business strategy and discuss the future of the Continental agricultural tyre brand under Mitas at the event on 13 November.
