Birgit Hiller, who has headed corporate communications at Continental for the past four years, will soon take on a new role outside the company. RWE Group shares that Hiller, currently Senior Vice President Group Communications and Public Affairs at Continental, will join the German energy company as Head of Group Communications and Public Affairs as of 1 October 2025.
As of 1 May, Vincent Charles will take on leadership of Group Communications at Continental. He will succeed Birgit Hiller, who according to Continental is leaving the company at her own request to take on a “leadership role in another industry.”
Continental is consolidating its public affairs and external affairs activities under its Group Public Affairs department. Dr Thorsten Burger (43), previously head of external affairs, has become the new department’s head, also overseeing Conti’s Berlin political office.
Continental has named its new head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. Birgit Hiller will take on this role from 1 September 2021, succeeding Dr Felix Gress, who has decided to leave the company after more than 11 years. She will report directly to Nikolai Setzer, chief executive officer of Continental.
