Dr Zwingmann to leave executive board of braking systems supplier Knorr-Bremse
Braking systems manufacturer Knorr-Bremse has announced that Dr Lorenz Zwingmann, 52, executive board member responsible for finance, IT, controlling and processes, is to leave the company on 31 December 2017. The company adds that he leaves on the very best of terms, opting not renew his contract in order to take up a new professional challenge in his North German homeland. Dr Zwingmann intends to meet his contractual obligations until the termination date, while the supervisory board, noting its regret at his decision, said it would make a decision on a successor as rapidly as possible.

WEX Europe Services’ presence at Transpotec Logitec 2017 in Italy allowed it to reaffirm relationships with existing customers and introduce new contacts interested in its fuel cards and telematics systems, the company stated. Held at Veronafiere, the exhibition for fleet owners and distributors attracted more than 84,000 visitors, from 86 countries, in four days. Heuver Tyrewholesale has reorganised its large off-road tyre range, introducing an extra tyre category between OTR and agricultural tyres. The wholesaler said the new categorisation is a reaction to shifting user requirements and a wide range of tyre possibilities. The “MPT agro industry” selection applies to tyres that do not fit comfortably in the ‘agricultural’ or ‘OTR’ categories. Heuver said its new category will allow it to improve its range and level of service, while allowing customers to find the tyres they need faster than before.

First Stop has added a new outlet in Taunton, as automotive equipment supplier Hickleys joins the fast fit network. After growing to a total of 72 centres by the end of 2016, First Stop is continuing to evolve and expand via a new approach to recruitment. First Stop’s retail business consultant Ollie Turpie is targeting businesses not currently boasting a tyre retail arm. Hickleys, based in Castle Street, offers a broad range of automotive solutions, from diagnostic equipment right through to heating and air conditioning installations.
