Agritechnica debut for 2 new Ceat farm tyres

Ceat Specialty will launch two new agricultural tyres at the Agritechnica 2019 show in November, the Ceat Torquemax for high-powered tractors and the Ceat Yieldmax combine harvester tyre.

Torquemax: Ceat says the Torquemax has been “engineered to ensure constant and smooth transfer of torque from the tractor to the ground, particularly during fieldwork.” Further stated qualities include low rolling resistance and a long working life, regardless of the demands placed upon it in the field or on the road.

Key elements of Torquemax design include a new casing – Ceat says it will explain the design of this at its Agritechnica show stand – as well as an extra wide footprint that minimised soil compaction. The Torquemax will initially be available in size 480/80 R50.

Yieldmax: With a flexible radial casing and deep tractive lugs that aid high traction, the Ceat Yieldmax is engineered for front axle combine harvester use. Ceat says the tyres is “designed to work as part of modern sustainable and precision farming by minimising harvesting’s impact on the soil.”

Key design features include interlug terracing at the base of the lugs, which helps the tyre’s self-cleaning capability. Durability is enhanced by a rounded lug base that adds to the tyre’s robustness and resistance to stubble and sharp stones. The tyre maker explains that these features also contribute to optimal lateral stability, even on difficult and very uneven terrain, as well as low vibration levels and high comfort in all working conditions. Further details of their design and the research behind them will be revealed at Agritechnica.

The Yieldmax will be available in 620/75 R32 and 620/75 R36 – sizes that, according to Ceat, offer “increased load capacity without necessitating a move to a wider tyre.”

Visitors to Agritechnica 2019 can find Ceat Specialty in Hall 4, at Stand C53.
