R&J Strang winning new fleet business supported by CAM’s dynamic data feed

The growth of R&J Strang Services’ fleet contract business is being supported by field data gathered via integrated digital tablet feeds, the company reveals. These were introduced by CAM as part of the tyre service provider’s investment in the UniSerV platform.

As UniSerV is a Microsoft SQL based platform, every transaction that is completed in the system as a result of integrating the data provided by the mobile fitters in the digital tablets feeds a vast dynamic data repository. By design, this data is constantly updated through use, with the option to report across an array of areas to help R&J Strang both maintain and win business contracts. For example, these areas can include operational performance (response and completion statistics); tyre performance (durability, rate of tread degradation); and the value (including likely replacement profiles) of tyres on fleet vehicles.

Lynn Wilson, director at R&J Strang Services, says, “Being able to deliver reporting to fleet customers which makes clear the value that our business is delivering to them is a must for modern fleet service operations. CAM’s UniSerV platform gives us the basis on which we can do so and augments our position as a premium service provider in Scotland.”

Mike Allen, managing director of CAM, adds, “Modern business intelligence systems should align with the tyre service provider’s business model to deliver positive, tangible results for both the dealer and the fleet customer.  More and more providers are recognising that data delivered via tablet feeds is the way forward to demonstrate how this can be achieved.”
