Pirelli coffee morning raises money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Pirelli employees from Burton raised £380 by turning their traditional morning cuppa into a fundraising opportunity.

Heather Watts, a contact centre agent from Pirelli who organised the Macmillan coffee morning at the company said: “A massive thank-you goes out to everyone who took part in our coffee morning. We raised £280 just from cake and coffee sales and then a further £100 was kindly donated to the proceeds by the company. The cakes baked by colleagues were really delicious and it was amazing to see how generous people were.”

Every year the coffee morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event to raise money for people living with cancer. In 2013, 154,000 people signed up, raising a record £20 million.
