SE Tyres signs up for CAM’s Online Tyre Catalogue

SE Tyres is to introduce software developer CAM’s Online Tyre Catalogue (OTC) into its fast fit centres network. The system is designed to simplify stock profiling and product management, increasing accuracy and enhancing the presentation of tyre data to consumers.

CAM says its OTC will help SE Tyres to present a professional image at point of sale. It is designed to enable retail customers to make more informed and accurate choices of tyres based on rolling resistance, wet braking and noise characteristics when considering their tyre purchase options.

OTC updates and delivers tyre data from global manufacturers and importers to CAM customers, making visible to them the impact of the changes and amendments on thousands of product lines. It has over 100,000 articles on its system from over 205 brands, and minimises the inaccuracies within the supply chain which makes for more efficient, accurate and cost-effective buying processes between retailers and wholesalers.

Mike Allen, managing director of CAM, comments: “We believe our OTC has become the world’s largest repository of manufacturer-supplied tyre data. This means subscribers such as SE Tyres can enjoy the benefit of a managed service which makes available thousands of tyre data amendments every week. The system’s information is constantly being updated and because this is fed systematically into Cameo, SE Tyres will be able to manage its tyre stocks effectively as well as enhance its tyre presentation offering.”
