McConechys Tyre and Exhaust Centres has appointed Cam Systems to implement its Cameo software platform. McConechys Tyre Service Limited is now in its 54th year is one of the leading tyre distributors in the UK. It caters for all sectors in the replacement tyre market through its branch network covering Scotland and Yorkshire. McConechys will also implement Cam’s UniSerV for its commercial business operations, and Workshop Scheduler products across its 53 outlets once the transition to Cameo is complete.

The project will reportedly also enable McConechys to transact more efficiently with its customers and speed up processes, while delivering greater visibility and transparency across its operation. Cam Systems’ new UniSerV application suite includes features such as call logging and customer policy and contract management and interactive mapping, and will integrate with e-Pen technology for Breakdown forms

Donald Carmichael, managing director of McConechy’s says: “We appreciate the pressures faced by our commercial, fleet and retail customers and one of our key goals in investing with Cam is to drive out cost and drive visibility in through our systems. This provides a win-win scenario for fleet operators with greater transparency and controlled process costs. We further acknowledge that our retail customers wish to be able to deal with us on a straightforward basis and be kept up-to-date with the progress of their vehicle; by embracing new technology offered by Cam Systems we aim to achieve this”.

Mike Allen, managing director of Cam Systems, adds:  “Our new UniSerV and Workshop Scheduler applications suites are specifically designed to integrate effortlessly into our clients’ Cameo implementations. This combination facilitates the transfer of fast, accurate and useable information throughout the enterprise. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with McConechys Tyre and Exhaust Centres and playing our part in helping it deliver against its business goals.”
