Fendt gives Mitas four A rating

Date: 13th January 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

AGCO has awarded its highest supplier rating to Mitas for deliveries of farm tyres from January to December 2011. The Mitas-produced brand Continental is a standard fitment in four out of six AGCO’s model series – for example Fendt 924-930 Vario. According to the company, AGCO evaluates its suppliers’ quality, logistics, customer service and protection of the environment, in all of which Mitas received the highest grade. Mitas has received the overall A award annually since acquiring production of Continental farm tyres in 2004.

“Mitas’ core business is agricultural and industrial tyres,” said Andrew Mabin, Mitas’ sales and marketing director. “Original equipment manufacturers appreciate close attention to detail and reliability.” Mitas sales to AGCO increased in excess of 25 per cent in 2011 compared with 2010.

“In 2011, Mitas achieved sales exceeding all its historic business results,” Mabin added. “Mitas’ total sales in 2011 are likely to surpass 400 million euros. Mitas has weathered off the storm of fluctuating prices of raw materials.”

Audited business performance indicators will be made publicly available later in 2012.
