Bridgestone Offers Sneak Peek of Super Bowl Ads

Date: 29th January 2010 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Once again, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations plans to grab the attention of viewers of Super Bowl XLIV, which airs 7 February on CBS from Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida, reports Tire Review. BATO will unveil two new Bridgestone brand tyre commercials during the game, in addition to the brand serving as the title sponsor of the Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show featuring The Who. The Richards Group, a Dallas-based independent advertising agency, created the 30-second commercials, one of which will run at the end of the first quarter, while the other will air during the third quarter.

‘Whale of a Tale’ features three young men on an “adrenaline-packed” drive toward the coast – with a live killer whale as the fourth passenger. “Hard to say where they’re going. Harder still to say where they’ve been. But this fish-out-of-water story is sure to end with a splash,” according to BATO.

‘Your Tires or Your Life’ takes viewers on a journey to a future world: “a wet, desperate world where nothing is more valuable than a great set of high-performance Bridgestone tyres. Watch for fast cars, fearless heroes and ruthless tyre bandits lurking around every corner. Be prepared for a shocking conclusion,” BATO said.

“There’s no better time to showcase your company on television than during the Super Bowl,” said John Baratta, president of replacement tyre sales, U.S. and Canada consumer tyre sales division, BATO. “With two 30-second spots, we have two incredible opportunities to showcase our Bridgestone brand and show millions of people what our tyres can do.”

In addition to the commercials, the partnership between the Bridgestone brand and the NFL also includes the “official tyre of the NFL” designation; the “official tyre sponsor of Super Bowl XLIV” title; and title sponsorship of the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLIV Halftime Show.
