Micheldever Appoints New Kumho Brand Manager

Date: 24th April 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Micheldever Tyre Services has announced the appointment of Jason Burgess as its new Kumho Brand Manager. Micheldever holds the distinction of being the largest Kumho distributor in Europe, and UK sales of the brand are rapidly growing – indeed, Micheldever reports that Kumho has become an important component of the company’s continued growth, growth that saw 2007 tyre sales reach six million units.

“We are delighted to have recruited someone of Jason’s quality and experience”, said Alan Baldwin, Micheldever wholesale director. “We have enjoyed massive success with the Kumho brand, and to find such an outstanding brand manager as Jason will be a significant benefit to MTS and the Ecsta Performance Centres network.”

Burgess, says Micheldever, is a seasoned tyre industry campaigner who has already clocked up much experience in the independent tyre retailer sector. Formerly a business development manager with Toyo, Jason was latterly company sales manager of Oak Tyres wholesale division.

“I am delighted to be joining Micheldever, with its proven track record of supporting tyre retailers, and to be working with such a progressive and high quality brand as Kumho,” says Burgess. “I am particularly excited about its high-profile and innovative consumer programmes such as its sponsorship of Manchester United. I have no doubt that we will be seeing increasing numbers of customers visiting Kumho dealers’ fitting bays.”
