Enhanced safety, performance, and data insights are benefits that Sensata Technologies says vehicle and tyre OEMs can expect from its newest tyre mounted sensor. The company describes this Sensata Tire Mounted Sensor as the “next step in the evolution of tyre sensing.” Leveraging the tyre as the single point of contact between vehicle and road, Sensata promises that the sensor will “deliver new insights, beyond just pressure and temperature.”
Sensata Technologies, the company behind the Schrader TPMS equipment brand, has appointed Russ Stebbins general manager of the Global Aftermarket business unit. He brings more than 25 years of automotive experience to his new role, including positions with well-known brands such as TRW, Lumileds, and Akebono Brake Corporation in the past decade.
TPMS sensor manufacturer Sensata Technologies is cutting 160 jobs in the town of Antrim, Northern Ireland. The news follows Sensata’s decision to close its Carrickfergus, County Antrim operation in January 2020. And this was part of a downward trend that saw the company cut 125 jobs in Carrickfergus in 2018.
Schrader Performance Sensors, the automotive aftermarket brand of Sensata Technologies, will launch two new motorcycle TPMS OE replacement sensors into the aftermarket at AutoZum in Salzburg, Austria (16-19 January 2019). Schrader will participate in the show with an updated product portfolio on its 50sqm booth in Hall 10 (stand 0706).
