Richard Tawlks named as TruckForce equity business manager

Goodyear Tyres has announced the appointment of Richard Tawlks as TruckForce’s equity business manager, having worked as a TruckForce regional manager since 2014.

Tawlks’ will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the TruckForce Equity business, ensuring customers receive an industry leading tyre service and maintenance partnership. With 25 years of experience within the transport industry, Tawlks understands the impact that vehicle downtime can have to the customer and the importance of active maintenance.

Goodyear is already ahead of the game thanks to its innovative Proactive Solutions mobility services. Goodyear’s predictive technology and advanced telematics allow TruckForce to identify and resolve tyre-related issues before they happen to ensure 24/7 breakdown support and tyre supply to its customers.

Richard Tawlks, equity business manager of Truckforce commented: “It is my priority to continue to grow our Proactive Solutions business across the UK and embed the use of this new technology across our network. I hope to maintain the operational excellence which sets us apart from others in the market place, to providing a lower total cost of ownership for our customers and become the number one UK service provider.”

Commenting further on the challenges to the tyre industry Tawlks adds: “The industry is facing many changes as we transition to an electric future within the automotive sector. The biggest challenge is to ensure our technicians and network embrace the new technology and see it as an aid to the daily routine rather than a threat.”
