BKT presents latest products, new ad campaign

African freestyle footballer Iya Traoré may be drawing crowds to the BKT stand at Agritechnica, however the off-road tyre specialist considers the true stars of its exhibition space to be two recent arrivals in its agricultural portfolio. One of these is displayed fitted to a full-sized plexiglass tractor weighing one and a half tonnes.

The tyre fitted to the transparent tractor is the Agrimax V-Flecto. Featuring VF technology, this recent arrival in the BKT range is the company’s first tyre based on the European Tire and Rim Technology Organisation Narrow Rim Option Technology (NRO) standard, and as such can be fitted in place of standard tyres without the necessity of purchasing new, wider rims.

Brand new at Agritechnica and the tyre BKT calls its “main news” from the show, the FL 637 is a 520/50 R 17 flotation tyre. BKT describes the FL 637 as “perfect for spreaders, trailers and tank trucks” thanks to its performance both in the field and on the road. Flotation characteristics, rolling resistance and self-cleaning properties are aided by the tyre’s directional tread design, while its steel-belted casing is said to ensure “remarkable load capacity and great resistance.”

Iya Traoré is performing four times a day during Agritechnica. Visitors to the BKT stand can watch him in action and also walk away with their own BKT football.

Long way together – BKT launches new campaign

A new BKT advertising campaign was also unfurled at Agritechnica 2017. Based around the slogan “A long way together,” the campaign will utilise a range of media platforms and target seven different user groups.

By using the phrase ‘long way together’, BKT aims to portray the journey it has undergone to produce increasingly innovative and reliable tyres, and also highlight the important role its distributors and customers have played throughout this journey.

“The new advertising campaign shall be released on magazines, fair fittings and outdoor advertising, as well as in the fittings of BKT events,” says Lucia Salmaso, managing director of BKT Europe. “And for sure this is going to help us consolidating communication with our clients. The new slogan recalls the company’s payoff ‘Growing Together’, where the word ‘together’ means, above all, sharing not only know-how, innovation and field experiences, but also values and targets. We want our clients to fully understand the important roles tyres play in enhancing their vehicle’s potentials, thus increasing profitability. BKT is at their side in their daily work, in order to share successful stories to shape our future.”
