BMW approves Bridgestone for 7 Series

Bridgestone is supplying the Potenza S001 as an OE fitment for the 7 Series

Bridgestone has been selected as an original equipment tyre supplier to the latest generation BMW 7 Series. The tyre maker’s Bridgestone Australia subsidiary reports that the Potenza S001 run-flat will be fitted as standard equipment on the 730d, 740i and 740Li in size 245/45R19, with an optional size 275/40R19 rear axle fitment available. For the 750i and 750Li, staggered sizing in 245/40R20 and 275/35R20 is provided.

“With a host of exciting features, from its innovative carbon core to BMW laser light technology, the 7 Series is well and truly setting the benchmark for luxury cars,” said Andrew Moffatt, Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand’s managing director. “It’s only fitting then that the 7 Series has a tyre that matches this ground-breaking approach, and the Potenza S001 RFT is the perfect choice…We’re very pleased to continue our partnership with BMW and proud to see this great product fitted as original equipment on the 7 Series.”

Last December, Pirelli reported that several sizes of its new-generation P Zero have been approved as original equipment fitments on the BMW 7 Series.
