Rema Tip Top continues Corghi alignment range distribution with Autopromotec exhibition

The Corghi wheel alignment range includes the REMO Uno

Rema Tip Top is the UK distributor of future-proof alignment solutions from Corghi. The range includes the award-winning REMO alignment range (REMO stands for “Robotic Equipment for Measuring by Optics”), including the Exact BlackTech X Plus, which includes the new passive target wheel aligner technology. Corghi will exhibit its machines at Autopromotec in Bologna, Italy between 20-24 May 2015 (Hall 19, Stand A2).

Corghi’s REMO Uno clampless wheel aligner heads the portfolio of alignment solutions. The product, six years in development was conceived in response to the need for a precision instrument that avoids all contact between the rims and mechanical equipment (clamps) during measurement. REMO achieved this using artificial vision technology to measure toe-in, and complete 3D scanning of the wheel.

Measurement is obtained by the two small robots equipped with lasers and cameras which move in parallel with the vehicle, acquire images and, in less than two minutes, determine the angles and spatial coordinates of the wheel to a precision of one hundredth of a millimetre.

Further REMO alignment models include the Compact and Rapide and the BlackTech X Plus. The REMO Compact has all the characteristics of its predecessor, with the angles measured without the use of clamps, quickly and with no need for operator intervention, but with a simplified configuration and smaller in size. The REMO Rapide is the concept of a product intended for tyre specialists and repair shops, which with extreme ease and speed, allows the operators to verify whether or not the convergence of the vehicle needs adjustment.

The Exact BlackTech X Plus, is the new passive target wheel aligner technology with eight high resolution digital cameras for maximum measurement precision. The automation of the wheel alignment operations and the extreme reliability of the components greatly enhance productivity. A PC with Windows XP, Exact Alignment Pro and complete multi-brand vehicle specs are all provided standard. With these features, Rema Tip Top says the Exact BlackTech X Plus has become an industry reference as well as a safe investment for wheel alignment professionals.

Rema Tip Top also supplying Pro Line truck, agricultural wheel aligners

In addition to its Corghi car tyre wheel aligners, Rema Tip Top is also supplying Pro Line wheel aligners for commercial vehicles.

The Pro Line Truck laser wheel aligner is designed with no external power supply, making it suitable for mobile use. Rema says the machine has no problem with front lift systems. No vehicle movement is necessary during measurement, with the frame taken into account in measurement, making the machine especially suited for multiple steering axles.

The vehicle does not have to be lifted, meaning that no rim eccentricity compensation is required, as magnetic fixing is provided for steel rims, and special quick clamp devices are available for alloy rims. The measurement of total and single toe, castor, camber, toe-out on turns, the central position of steering gear and the angular tilt of axles are all features of the Pro Line Truck laser wheel aligner.

The Pro Line AS 10 laser wheel aligner for agricultural machinery is similarly designed for simple measurement, with no calculation of adjustments necessary. It is a mobile kit, suitable for independent use with no mains supply. Rema says the Pro Line AS 10 has no problems with front lift systems.

The machine features precise adjustment of a steering axle within seven minutes by one person, Rema adds. Centering of the steering axle in relation to the fix axle is possible, and no movement of vehicle is necessary during measurement.
