Netherlands-based industrial tyre manufacturer Magna Tyres and its official agent in South Korea will supply a “considerable quantity” of M-Straddle tyres to one of the world’s largest container terminals as part of a new one-year contract. Magna Tyres and its agent, Hyoshin Hispec Co. Ltd, signed an official contract with BNCT (Busan New Container Terminal) this week and will provide unspecified but large numbers of the M-Straddle in size 16.00R25 over a 12 month period.

“The established cooperation means that Magna Tyres will supply BNCT a significant part of their annual straddle carrier tyre requirements in 2015,” said Magna Tyres in a statement.

The M-Straddle radial is specifically designed for use on straddle carriers in demanding port and terminal conditions. Magna Tyres says the tyre’s steel radial construction provides outstanding shock absorption and maximum operating comfort, while heavy-duty sidewalls in combination with the deep and ribbed tread pattern guarantee excellent resistance to impacts and damage.

BNCT Co., Ltd. is a full-service container terminal and is expected to reach a capacity of 2.7 million TEU from this year.
