Jantsa Looking for Customers in Southeast Asia

Date: 20th April 2009 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Since its establishment in 1977, Turkish wheel manufacturer Jantsa has constantly worked towards building up and expanding its export business. Today its wheels are exported to over 80 countries worldwide, Jantsa export area manager Europe Omar Oztan told Tyres & Accessories. In fact, three out of every four wheels produced by Jantsa is destined for export. A region of increasing interest for the Turkish company is Southeast Asia. For this reason the company decided this year to once again exhibit at Tyrexpo Asia.

Around two million wheels are manufactured each year at Jantsa’s factory in Aydin, Western Turkey. Output is entirely steel wheel products for commercial vehicles – the company has made no prior investments in the area of passenger car wheel or aluminium wheel production, and holds no short-term plans to do so.

Due to its specialisation Jantsa has successfully developed a strong reputation amongst European original equipment customers. Trailer manufacturers such as Krone, Fliege and Kögel all make an appearance on Jansta’s customers list, as do the Turkish operations of MAN and BMC (the Turkish commercial vehicle manufacturer, founded in 1964 through a partnership with the British Motor Corporation). At present, negotiations with a Western European tractor manufacturer are also being concluded.

“Commercial vehicle wheels are our core business,” explains Oztan, who points out that super single wheels are no longer a rarity within Turkey’s largest wheel manufacturer’s product range.
