Eclipse Launches Technical Centre

Date: 11th August 2006 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Staffordshire-based Eclipse Automotive Technology, the UK’s leading supplier of Texa vehicle diagnostic systems, has created a dedicated Technical Centre in recognition of its growing customer base across the UK. The Technical Centre, based at a separate site in the company’s home town of Burton-upon-Trent, houses Eclipse’s growing technical support team as well as a repair and maintenance facility.

All technical support queries are now being routed through the centre – the first of its kind created in the UK by a Texa supplier – where Eclipse’s dedicated team are on hand to provide help and advise customers, who range from fleet managers to commercial vehicle dealers and repairers.

Dave Rees, Technical Director at Eclipse Automotive Technology, explained: “Unlike many suppliers, we offer product training and ongoing technical support as part of the package when we supply a system to ensure customers fully benefit from their investment. This approach has proved extremely popular, resulting in a rapidly growing customer base, and a requirement to expand our technical support team and equipment maintenance facilities.”

Eclipse Automotive Technology was founded in early 2005 and is today one of the UK’s largest suppliers of the Italian-built Texa range of automotive diagnostic equipment.

The company’s customer base currently numbers more than 340, based across the UK and split between the commercial, automotive and public service vehicle sectors. Typical clients include Hill Hire (a Bank of Scotland company), Shell Oil, Coca-Cola, Warwickshire County Fleet Maintenance and Welbourns of Wisbech.
