Allan Morris Transport Switches to Bridgestone

Date: 28th November 2005 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Chester-based Allan Morris Transport, established in 1893 and one of the oldest transport companies in the UK, has switched to Bridgestone and its independent Truck Point dealer network for its tyres and tyre management services.

Allan Morris Transport operates in two distinct business sectors. Its fleet of walking floor trailers – one of the largest in the country – serves the waste re-cycling industry, and its bulk tippers carry raw materials primarily for the cement industry.

For the past seven years the company’s tyre requirements have been looked after by Mike Carroll, of RTB, formerly Rhyl Tyre and Batteries. “I like the idea of paying for tyres on a contract basis and Mike and his team have never let us down. They have always given us first-class service,” said Allan Morris’s owner Brian Lee.

Bridgestone UK commercial vehicle marketing manager, Roger Moulding, said: “We are delighted that Allan Morris Transport has switched to Bridgestone. Their decision is further evidence that the value of the service given by the Truck Point network is being increasingly recognised.”
