Tyresoft reports that it has released the “first dedicated mobile web portal”as an extension to its popular WebTrade platform. According to the company, WebTrade offers wholesalers and distributors the ability to communicate with their retailers, accept live orders, show live prices and stock availability along with giving the retailer useful analytics on their purchase history.
Tyresoft CEO Marcus Hathaway commented: “Although the existing WebTrade platform would work sufficiently on tablets and mobile phones, our research indicated more and more retailers find these devices a convenient way to order tyres. Whether that is for a mobile fitter on the road or just being able to walk around the depot ordering what you need. Therefore, working with our partners such as Eden Tyres and Universal Tyres & Spares, we decided to go a step further and have a platform dedicated purely for these devices in order to aid the user experience.”
Mick Baskeyfield of Eden Tyres commented: “Since we moved to Tyresoft and started utilising its WebTrade platform, customers have complimented its simplicity, speed and reliability. We are able to offer over 6 million tyres on the platform linked to our own warehouse and that of our partners. Quite simply, we can offer the biggest range of tyres available anywhere in the UK to our customers.”
Michael Jackson, director of Universal Tyres & Spares Ltd added: “We are aware of our customers utilising the WebTrade platform as a way to sell to their customers. Being mobile friendly takes this to a new level for how they can engage their customers and showcase the products we offer. We’re delighted to be part of the innovation in this area and be one of the first wholesalers to have a dedicated mobile platform for our customers”.
