Coker Tire Company, the world’s largest supplier of collector vehicle tyres and wheels, has expanded its product line with the addition of Dunlop Sport Classic radial tyres. Coker Tire described the range as “an excellent option for vintage European sports cars and some classic American muscle cars from the 1950s through the 1980s”.

According to the company, Coker Tire brought on the “distinguished British brand as an excellent option for European sports cars and vintage American trucks from the 1940s to the 1980s.”
US-based vintage and classic tyre manufacturer the Coker Group has new owners. Four years after the death of company founder Harold Coker, the Coker family has sold the business to Wade Kawasaki, the company’s president and chief executive officer, and the current Coker Group leadership team in partnership with private equity firm Irving Place Capital.
Via its acquisition of German tyre distributor Münchner Oldtimer Reifen GmbH (MOR), the Coker Group expects to gain greater access to the growing European market for vintage and classic tyres. The Holzkirchen, Germany-based firm will continue to be led by managing partner Valentin Schaal, who founded MOR in 1983, and the distributor’s existing management team.
