Hankook-Vibram partnership highlighted at ISPO

The concept tyres and shoes that have so far resulted from Hankook Tire’s strategic partnership with outsole company Vibram are currently on display at the ISPO Munich show in Germany. Hankook is showing two off-road concept tyres at the sports-oriented exhibition, the DynaMIX and DynaSYNC. Both tyres apply Vibram’s hyper-functional outsole design.

DynaMIX was developed using two of Vibram’s most important technologies: Drawing upon Vibram’s carrarmato design ensures traction on rough terrains, while the second technology, the Vibram 3D Cocoon, protects the tyres from impact damage; a nylon fibre moulded in the tread distributes the point of impact on a wider surface.

DynaSYNC was produced by applying the design of geometric multi-directional lugs – already used on the Vibram FiveFingers shoe – in order to offer greater stability, traction and flexibility.

Vibram is showing two shoes – the DynnaSTRYKE BKL and DynaTREK – that respectively complement the DynaMIX and DynaSYNC as sister products.

Over 80,000 people are expected to visit the ISPO, which runs until 27 January.
