Toyo backs Harrison Racing

Harrison Racing will ride under Toyo team colours

Toyo Tires has announced that it is to back accomplished motorcycle racers, Harrison Racing. The Manx-based team will ride under Toyo team colours for the 2015 season, competing in a number of high-profile motorcycle races.

The deal will see Toyo supporting the team through the year, and helping the two Harrison brothers, Glenn and Nathan, to compete locally in the Isle of Man. Both riders have set their targets high, with aspirations to win both the Centre and 600 Championships.

Toyo Tires will also play a major part in supporting Glenn Harrison for his 2015 road racing campaign where he will compete at the International Southern 100 and the Classic TT / Manx Grand Prix. With an impressive riding CV behind him, Glenn Harrison is hoping to achieve stand out results, especially at the Manx Grand Prix where the team firmly believes that a podium is more than achievable. The support that Toyo Tires will bring to the team will also help Nathan Harrison compete across in the UK with a possibility of wildcard rides in the British Superbike series, hopefully this will prepare him for a potential debut in the 2016 Manx Grand Prix and a full season of British Superbikes.

Clearly elated with their new backer, both brothers were optimistic about the challenge ahead. “We are so pleased to have Toyo Tires as a title sponsor for 2015. It makes our season so much more exciting knowing we have support from the major Japanese tyre manufacture. With Toyo supporting us and continued support from long time sponsor and friend Chris Preston who has purchased a new Suzuki GSX-R 600 for Nathan, the 2015 season looks promising and we hope to prove this with our results,” said Glenn.

Harrison racing’s first meeting will be an Andreas Racing Association event at Jurby Airfield, IOM, on the 22 March 2015.
