A new home for Tire Technology Expo
While Cologne is gaining a new tyre show with the 2018 launch of a new rival for Reifen, it is also losing one with the departure of Tire Technology Expo. As of next year, the annual tyre manufacturing technology exhibition and conference will take place at the Deutsche Messe site in Hanover, Germany. Tire Technology Expo, which is scheduled for 16 to 18 February 2016, will take place in two halls.
The new location in Hanover offers Tire Technology Expo organiser UKIP Media & Events more floorspace for exhibitors. “The new event site is ideally suited to Tire Technology Expo’s current and future requirements,” commented show founder and organiser Tony Robinson. “The industry is on a strong growth trajectory and this is particularly visible in the areas of tyre chemicals and productions. Our customers can present themselves on a larger floorspace in halls 19 and 20 and also take advantage of the associated conference.” Dr. Jochen Köckler, member of the Deutsche Messe AG board, added: “In Tire Technology Expo we’ve won an important show for our site”…“We are pleased that Tire Technology Expo has decided upon Hanover and Deutsche Messe.”
More than 220 exhibitors took part in this year’s Tire Technology Expo, the last to take place in Cologne, occupying a total floorspace of 5,500 square metres. Visitor numbers reached 3,700, a record for Tire Technology Expo. The organiser says that more than 85 per cent of this year’s exhibitors have already rebooked for the 2016 show in Hanover.
