Al Dobowi launches Eternity Cares

Date: 22nd October 2012 Author: Admin Comments: 0

The Al Dobowi group aims to employ its Eternity trademark for the greater good with the addition of ‘Eternity Cares’ to the range of charitable initiatives it runs.

Eternity Technologies manufactures industrial batteries and soon the brand’s product offering will expand to include an Eternity tyre range (to be introduced in late 2012). Even though Eternity tyres are yet to reach the market, Al Dobowi has already diverted funds to the Eternity Cares initiative to support UK charitable causes.

At one such event at the end of September, Eternity sponsored a local team in the 2012 Bristol Dragon Boat Challenge in aid of St Peter’s Hospice ‘100 Club’ charity. St Peter’s Hospice is Bristol’s only adult hospice caring for local people with life-limiting illnesses and the charity recently launched the ‘100 Club’, asking for the support of local businesses to raise £100,000 during 2012 to help further improve St Peter’s Day Hospice and provide even better care for patients.

Through ‘Eternity Cares’, the Al Dobowi Group reports that it was delighted to offer its support and play a significant role in raising funds towards the ‘100 Club’ target. The Proctor and Stevenson crew of 16 paddlers and a drummer raced in Chinese-style Dragon Boats over a 250-metre course together with 30 other crews.

Jorge Crespo, general manager of Eternity Tyres (part of the Al Dobowi Group) commented: “It is always a privilege to use our commercial enterprise for the greater good. St Peter’s is a very worthy cause and Eternity Tyres was delighted to help the team reach its fundraising goals as well as promoting great fun and teamwork on the water.”
