GiTi names Peter Foulkes European commercial tyres director

Peter Foulkes has been promoted to the position of marketing director Europe – Commercial Tires at GiTi Tire. According to the company, Foulkes has played a leading role in the rapid expansion of GT Radial and Primewell sales in the European truck and bus tyre market.

Peter Foulkes has been promoted to the position of marketing director Europe – Commercial Tires at GiTi Tire. According to the company, Foulkes has played a leading role in the rapid expansion of GT Radial and Primewell sales in the European truck and bus tyre market.

Foulkes, who joined the company in 2006 as marketing manager, has been responsible for the implementation of an expansive product development programme with all tyres designed and manufactured to European specifications.

Previously Foulkes worked for Goodyear Dunlop as operations manager Truck SBU, having originally held the role of general sales manager Truck SBU.

Peter Foulkes commented: “Over the past six years both the GT Radial and Primewell brands have made a huge impact in the European market, primarily due to our strategy of offering advanced products in a wide range of sizes at attractive price points with excellent service and technical back up.

“Research, development and meeting the needs of the market are paramount concerns, and we have a very comprehensive new product stream to be launched between now and 2014.  I look forward to implementing this programme in the new role.”
