Which? endorsement “great for Uniroyal brand”

Date: 16th January 2012 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Uniroyal has reacted to its RainExpert tyre being awarded “best buy” status by Which? Car in the November 2011 edition. Praised across several areas such as wet grip and dry braking, the RainExpert in size 175/65 R14T achieved an overall rating of 67 per cent with Which? commenting: “The RainExpert does exactly what it says on the tin, providing top-of-the-class wet grip, with five stars for grip on the straight and in bends.”

Which? reported on the RainExpert’s performance during the test, saying; “It does very well for dry grip too, with four stars across all ratings except noise, where it still achieves a three-star performance along with most others in the batch.”

Jonathan Hayter, product manager for Uniroyal said; “This is a great endorsement for the Uniroyal brand. The RainExpert delivers outstanding performance and gives motorists greater safety in wet conditions when it is most needed. The RainExpert is a great tyre for small to medium sized cars and comes in rim sizes 13 to 16 inch. It already holds best buy status in size 185/60 R14H so this latest award is another honour for the brand.”

The RainExpert features Uniroyal’s trademark directional V tread pattern specifically designed to cut through the water and grip to the road. Directional sipes in the tyre shoulders and tread centre allow for shorter braking distances on wet and dry roads. The RainExpert is also available for SUV’s in 17” and 18”.
