TEAM Systems offers tyre labelling update

Date: 18th November 2011 Author: Admin Comments: 0

Devon based IT specialists TEAM Systems is offering a range of systems and services designed to incorporate November 2012's forthcoming tyre labelling legislative requirements. TEAM explained that a graphic (pictogram) is displayed at the point of sale so retail customers can view and be sure the tyre they are buying conforms to the new directive, plus they will receive the relevant information on their printed sales invoice.

Pointing out that the current IT program is intended to offer an advantage within the retail and wholesale market sectors of the industry, Steve Greatrex, managing director at TEAM said: “There is no doubt this new legislation will significantly alter the way tyres are sold but TEAM’s latest program has recently been updated to ensure that the label indicating fuel efficiency (A-G), Wet grip (A-G) and external rolling noise (dB) is incorporated into our software.”

Any tyre dealer using the TEAM software and who has an up to date maintenance contract will automatically receive the new module ‘free of charge’ or can download it from their website. However, if the contract has lapsed, then this might be a good reason to contact TEAM Systems with a view to reinstating it and take advantage of this feature and the many other on-going improvements that have been implemented into the TEAM system.

Backing the TEAM system is a highly impressive ‘software support’ service where customers have the valuable reassurance of being able to instantly phone one of TEAM’s IT specialists to discuss any problems and provide a swift solution. Steve concluded, “The TEAM support program is available for less than £1 a day making it a highly popular and cost effective support option for any tyre company wishing to get the maximum benefit from our dedicated tyre traders program.”
