AlloyGator wheel rim protection product launched

Date: 14th October 2011 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

AlloyGator, a patented alloy wheel protection system, has been launched with the aim of providing car owners with unrivalled protection against scuffs, scratches and other wheel damage. AlloyGator is an affordable solution in keeping alloy wheels looking better for longer for consumers and an opportunity to up-sell for tyre dealers.

Made of tough nylon, AlloyGator is a ring designed to extend the life of alloy wheels, saving time and money on expensive repairs. Developed through a rigorous MIRA testing and development process and designed in partnership with industry professionals, the AlloyGator patented protection system sits between the alloy wheel and the tyre, not only protecting the alloy wheel but also enhancing its appearance – the system is available in nine different colours.

Curt Rathbone of AlloyGator commented, “Our research has identified that 80 per cnt of cars under 5 years old have alloy wheels, a figure that we believe will increase further, as more and more new cars are now being fitted with alloy wheels as standard. The current economic climate means that many people are keeping their vehicle for longer, AlloyGator helps to both maintain the residual value of the car, and keep the wheels looking better for longer”

Rathbone continued “Keeping vehicles for longer has resulted in a strong appetite for protection and repair solutions – indeed over the last 10 years the UK has seen a massive increase in the number of “Smart Repair” operators offering alloy wheel repairs. With an SRP of £59.95 for a set of five, the AlloyGator patented alloy wheel protection system provides a cost effective solution that can save on alloy wheel repairs and replacements.”
