Bridgestone Signs Supply Agreement with Volvo Group

Date: 29th April 2010 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

A long-term contract for the supply of original equipment truck tyres has been signed between Bridgestone Europe and Volvo Group. The tyre maker states that the terms of this agreement represent a significant increase in market share for Bridgestone and cover a wide range of truck tyres, including the new Bridgestone R249 EVO and R297 EVO steer tyres.

“Bridgestone Europe has been able to meet the high standards set by the Volvo Group, both in products and supply performance, and is delighted to enter into this agreement with a leading global truck group” commented Gerry Duffy, vice president Sales & Marketing Bridgestone Europe, after signing the agreement.

Continental Truck Tires also extended its established tyre supply agreement with Volvo Group Europe in early April, and will remain an OE supplier for commercial vehicles in Europe until at least 2012. In addition to this new arrangement, Bridgestone has long-term preferred supplier agreements with Volvo Group in Asia and North and South America.
