Bridgestone Australia Upgrades its Web Presence

Date: 1st February 2008 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

To keep pace with ever changing Internet tastes and technology, Bridgestone Australia has developed an updated suite of websites it believes will greatly improve the user experience, both visually and ergonomically. Emphasis has been placed upon ease of use, and the menu system adopted by the new site allows for clearer and more concise navigation. Features such as contrast and font enlargement permit easier reading for the visually impaired.

Visitors arriving at the home page will be presented with the latest Bridgestone Australia offers and brand advertisements, with animated banners and images relating to the company’s retail promotions prominently displayed. Improvements to the site’s tyre selector feature are intended to simplify the process of finding the correct tyre size for a particular vehicle, and an added ‘driving style’ tool can help pinpoint the best tyre for any vehicle model. Upgraded graphics and descriptions of each tyre’s technology, together with comparison charts, make the job on online tyre selection substantially easier.

A complete redesign of the website’s dealer locator using Microsoft’s Virtual Earth program makes light work of finding a conveniently located dealer, with direction guides and advanced searching on specific services provided.

For visitors who desire more of an overview of Bridgestone’s tyre patterns, tyre categories have been simplified down to 3 main categories; passenger, 4×4 and light truck. These sections display a broad range of tyres and sorted from high performance to entry level touring. The new 4×4 section sorts patterns by their on or off road strengths. Together with these features Bridgestone has created a new category for commercial tyres, which bundles truck, fleet, agricultural and earthmover sections together.

A new media category provides various resources to download wallpapers, TV commercials, view recent promotions and download images. The Bridgestone retail and corporate websites have also undergone a revamp – the Bridgestone Select website was launched mid 2007 and the company has revamped its Bridgestone Tyre Centre website.
