Goodyear Dunlop Names New Supply Chain VP for EU and EEMEA

Date: 5th November 2007 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Goodyear Dunlop has announced the appointment of Robert Scholte as vice president of supply chain for the company’s EU and EEMEA regions. Scholte joins the company from Nestle Purina Petcare where, for the past 3 years, he has been European Supply chain director. The appointment is effective 1 January 2008.

In a joint statement, Arthur de Bok, president EU, and Jarro Kaplan, president, EEMEA, said: “This appointment follows our recent announcement of the new supply chain organization across both regions. Robert joins us with an outstanding background, covering all the supply chain elements….he has held senior positions with responsibilities for raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, through to the final delivery of products to customers. We have underlined the strategic importance of this position and have found an individual who will work with all areas of the company to provide the most effective supply chain to our customers. “

Scholte will report to de Bok and Kaplan, with additional functional reporting to Chris Clark, senior vice president, global sourcing.

Scholte started his career with Unilever in the Netherlands in 1987 in research and development. In 1990 he moved to Germany and served both as a quality manager and a production manager. In 1996 he joined Nestle Purina Petcare Europe where he served for four years as a factory manager in the Netherlands. In 2000 he moved to Codi International, a major manufacturer of wet wipe products, as managing director, a position he held until 2001. He then rejoined Nestle Purina Petcare where he was technical director until 2004. For the past three years he has held the top European supply chain position, based in London.

Scholte has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in biochemistry/microbiology from Nijmegem University, the Netherlands. He is married and has two children.
