Vigorous International Trading Forecast for Tyrexpo Asia Exhibition

Date: 7th August 2007 Author: Tyrepress Editors Comments: 0

Organisers of next month’s Tyrexpo Asia exhibition are predicting “exceptional” levels of international trading as thousands of tyre industry buyers head for the Singapore Expo Centre searching for new products, ideas and technology that will add value to their businesses. Awaiting them will be a record number of exhibitors for the sixth Tyrexpo Asia show. More than 140 companies representing four continents and 23 individual countries will be there to meet the expected demand.

“There is a great sense of anticipation and an eagerness to be involved in this show; a real buzz that exceeds anything experienced in the 10 years we’ve staged the exhibition in Singapore,” confirmed Rowena Suthers, sales director for show organiser ECI International.

Despite the imminence of the event, major suppliers continue to seek exhibition space as deadlines draw near. International companies such as Trelleborg, the specialist Swedish tyre manufacturer, and GPX International, the US tyre maker formed by the merger of Galaxy Tire and Wheel and Dynamic Tire Corp of Canada in 2005, have both confirmed space bookings.

They are joined by the latest in a series of Chinese exporters, including Xuzhou Xugong Tyres and Dong Ar Corporation. With 35 exhibitors, China is now the largest single exhibitor nation at Tyrexpo Asia’07, representing a remarkable increase compared to the 15 businesses who attended the last show in 2005.

“We have an excellent base of exhibitors from Singapore and more than 20 other countries covering Europe, the US, Australasia and Asia. But the growth in Chinese suppliers, all keen to expand their export business and contacts in overseas markets, has been the most noticeable trend compared to the last show,” said ECI’s Rowena Suthers.

ECI estimate that up to 4,000 buyers from more than 60 countries will visit the exhibition between the 11 and 13 September, with many millions of dollars worth of business expected to be written and new trading relationships established.

Extensive international marketing of the event is credited with stimulating the demand for space as well as creating visitor interest around the world.

Tyrexpo Asia visitors can still beat the queues by pre-registering for the show at
