(Akron/Tire Review) Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s Philippines business will add 50 more dealers and introduce new products in the region, according to the Philippine newspaper Manila Bulletin.

Ronaldo Castro, marketing director of Goodyear Philippines, said Goodyear has more than 120 dealers in the region.

Goodyear’s Philippine plant produces 6,000 tyres a day, with 30 per cent to 40 per cent intended for export into areas including Europe, Latin America and the US. The plant manufactures passenger, commercial truck and agricultural tyres.

“We expect to further growth our business this year with the introduction of new technology for our branded tires,” Castro told the newspaper.
