Michelin to show high mileage of broad product range, including second-line brands

Focusing on longevity, Michelin will display innovative tyres such as the CrossClimate (pictured), as well as second-line products like the Kleber Quadraxer 2

Michelin will travel to Reifen 2016 with a comprehensive product mix representing its full portfolio of brands. Its booth (Hall 3, Stand C20) will contain Kleber and BFGoodrich, as well as retreading products Recamic and Michelin Remix among other Michelin products and services.

Michelin states that it will focus its presentation on the high mileage achievable on its products across product segments. The manufacturer stated its claim that its car tyres achieve an average of 8,000km higher mileage in comparison with the relevant competitors; a figure that “corresponds, for example, to a tour Europe capitals from Berlin to Lisbon via Paris and Bern and back,” it points out.

Michelin will present its latest products from all of its product areas, including passenger car/light truck tyres, truck tyres and specialty business. It will emphasise the versatility of its car tyre range with its Pilot Sport 4, Primacy 3, CrossClimate, Alpin 5 and Pilot Alpin PA4 covering a wide range of vehicles and applications.

In addition, Kleber’s Quadraxer 2 all-season tyre, and the winter Kleber Krisalp HP3 will demonstrate the “high level of security during the cold season” achieved by the second-line brand. BFGoodrich will be represented with its newest tyres, the All-Terrain T/A KO 2 and the Urban Terrain T/A.

In motorcycle products Michelin’s Anakee Wild will be on stand. The tyre has been designed for use on the road and on trails, and will be presented in dimensions 120/70 R19 (front) and 170/60 R17 (rear).

Among Michelin’s highlights for commercial vehicles will be the “robust and reliable” Michelin X Works D, a tyre designed to offer higher mileage than the previous generation. The manufacturer will also present the fuel efficient drive axle tyre, Michelin X Line Energy D2.

Michelin’s CerexBib, developed especially for harvesters, will head up the company’s agricultural tyre range. For underground mining applications Michelin will display the XTXL in size 29.5R25. The tyre features a cut resistant tread, sidewall protectors, and greater puncture resistance all designed to ensure a long service life.
