Pirelli sticks with softest F1 tyre compound trio for three more grands prix
Pirelli will supply the same selection of compounds for all three grands prix of Emilia-Romagna, Monaco and Canada: the C3 as P Zero White hard, C4 as P Zero Yellow medium and C5 as P Zero Red soft. While these nominations are identical to the 2023 season – the compounds themselves have remained the same – the three softest compounds were never put to the test in Imola last year, since the event was cancelled at the last minute due to flooding.

Hankook Tire & Technology has disclosed its financial performance for the first quarter of 2024, reporting sales of KRW 2,127.2 billion (£1.2 billion) and an operating profit of KRW 398.7 billion (£230.8 million) based on global consolidated financial results. Year over year, sales saw a modest increase of 1.1 per cent, while operating profit surged by 108.8 per cent.

The Dunlop RoadSmart IV has been recognised by leading German magazine Motorrad as ‘Very Good’ in the publication’s latest motorcycle tyre test. The sports touring tyre was praised in particular for its feedback on country roads in the 06/2024 issue test, which tried out six tyres in sizes 120/70ZR17 (front) and 180/55ZR17 (rear) on a BMW R 1250 RS. The latest test follows similarly strong results in 2022 and 2023 tests. The same tyre won Motorrad’s 2022 touring tyre test in the same dimensions, while the tyre’s 19” front tyre long-distance touring specifications impressed last year.
