Efficiency & winter performance – Bridgestone introduces new van tyre

Bridgestone has announced the launch of its latest winter tyre for light commercial vehicles, the Duravis Van Winter Enliten. The range is available in 19 sizes for 15- to 17-inch rim diameters.

With the Duravis Van Winter Enliten, Bridgestone aims to provide a winter solution to van users and light truck fleets while contributing to a reduction in total cost of ownership. Announcing the new range, the tyre maker shares that independent TÜV SÜD testing shows that the Bridgestone Duravis Van Winter offers “delivers best-in-class braking and traction performances in both snow and icy conditions to keep drivers safe and in control all winter long.” Additionally, the tire has achieved an EU Label A-grade rating for wet grip.

Regarding cost of ownership, Bridgestone says the Duravis Van Winter Enliten “boasts the longest mileage compared to other premium winter alternatives,” a characteristic validated by TÜV SÜD testing. This feature helps minimise vehicle downtime, costs, and enhances overall resource efficiency. Furthermore, the tyre exhibits a 13 per cent reduction in rolling resistance compared to its predecessor, resulting in improved fuel/energy efficiency and a further reduction in total cost of ownership and environmental impact.

Multiple cutting-edge technologies

Bridgestone credits these performance enhancements to Enliten, the tyre maker’s “combination of multiple cutting-edge technologies” that provide the tyre with significant longevity improvements without compromising performance on the snow, ice, wet or dry. Duravis Van Winter also benefits from an optimised pattern design and a new compound formula, enhancing rolling resistance and grip on snow, along with a high contact area for superior performance on ice.

The use of Enliten technology ensures the Bridgestone Duravis Van Winter is fully equipped to meet the general performance demands of any vehicle, including the specific requirements of electric vehicles.
